Overview

New Millennium Building Systems is looking for a Safety Clerk to become part of our EHS team. You will aid in all aspects of EHS department operations and help create and maintain a safe workplace. 

Responsibilities

  • Conducting audits, producing audit reports and follow up on action items.
  • Provide support to the Health and Safety Committees.
  • Conduct Drug and Alcohol testing per policy.
  • Assist Safety Coordinator with new hire and monthly policy and procedure training.
  • Maintain the Contractor Certificate of Insurance and general program assistance.
  • Stocking, ordering, and distributing safety supplies.
  • Assist with data input and the running of reports in safety management software.
  • Assist with other safety and environmental data collecting, keeping and reporting.
  • Maintain SDS sheets, database, notebooks and conduct chemical inventories.
  • Provides support for Waste Disposal and recycling activities.
  • Assist with accident reports and incident analysis.
  • Assist in conducting Job Hazard Analysis and PPE certifications.
  • Provide general support and assistance to the Safety Coordinator.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Excellent computer skills required, preferably in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.  
  • Excellent communication skills, verbal, and written.  
  • Excellent organizational skills.  
  • CPR, First Aid or higher certification such as EMT preferred but not required. 
  • OSHA 10 hour card preferred but not required.
