Overview

Ensure operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive and emergency maintenance requirements on; Electric Controls, Electric Motors, Hydraulics, Pneumatics, Conveyor Systems, and Welding Machines. Following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer’s instructions, and engineering specifications.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure correct and safe operation of equipment and machinery using a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
  • Troubleshoot and maintain conveyors, electrical systems, pneumatic tools, hydraulic equipment, and welding equipment.
  • Fabricates repair parts by using machine shop instrumentation and equipment.
  • Identify faulty equipment through observation and testing metrics.
  • Attend daily shift meetings to prioritize work orders and minimize downtime.
  • Safely operate cranes, power tools, hoists and hand tools.
  • Assess the condition of used parts using micrometers, calipers and specifications.
  • Maintain parts and tools inventory.
  • Prepare maintenance reports and summary presentations using daily activity logs, analysis and trends.
  • Maintain electrical, pneumatics, hydraulics and mechanical knowledge via on-going training, industry workshops and technical reading.
  • Maintains continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and equipment needs.
  • Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedure, rules, and regulation.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Qualifications

Required

  • Minimum of 3 years industrial maintenance
  • Advanced understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics and mechanics
  • Understanding of electrical systems and PLC’s
  • Comfortable with computers
  • Capable of operating hand, power and specialized tools
  • Able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Team player and willing to work with minimal supervision
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
  • High school diploma or GED

Preferred

  • Understanding of PLC’s and field device such as but not limited to photo eyes, proximity sensors, and transducers.
  • Experience with stepper motors and drives.
  • Familiar with Fanuc Robotics systems.
  • Advance technical or college training.
